We never truly build a CV

Perhaps…

We have never truly built a CV.

We have only tried to shrink a career. Until it fits on a few pages.

There is nothing wrong with that.

But it is like trying to tell the story of an entire childhood… with a single photograph.

A photograph may be beautiful. But it cannot carry sound.

• It cannot carry a scent.
• It cannot show every time you fell.
• It cannot hold the people who walked beside you.

A summary works the same way.

It records what happened.

But it rarely preserves… why those moments mattered.

And sometimes, that is the most important part.

Two people can do the same job.

And still carry two entirely different stories.

What makes a person different is not only what they did. It is how they created meaning from what they did.

Some work… never appears in a profile.

• The first time you guided a new colleague.
• The night you stayed late to fix a problem no one knew about.
• The moment you took responsibility even when it was not yours.
• The time you said, “Let me try,” while still not knowing the answer yourself.

No one writes these things in the “Experience” section.

Yet many people… remember you because of them.

Perhaps…

A career is not made only from milestones.

It is made from thousands of small moments.

And most of them… are never written down.

And perhaps…

That is what deserves to be preserved most.
