Some people think identity is what others can see.

But before others trust you, you are always the first person to trust—or not trust—yourself.

Every small choice leaves a trace.

• You keep a promise or offer an excuse.
• You take responsibility or place blame.
• You finish with care or merely bring something to an end.

At first, these choices seem very small.

But over time, they quietly come together.

Like individual stones forming a road.

One day, others see that road.
