Some ideas do not appear to replace people
Chapter 19 of Work Identity: people do not need another place to store files, but a calm place to connect work, memory and growth.
Some ideas do not appear to replace people
Some ideas…
do not appear to replace people.
They appear to help people not lose themselves.
We create many tools to work faster
We create tools to work faster.
But very few tools are created to help us better understand what we have made.
Work moves forward while memory stays behind
The strange thing is…
Work always moves forward. But memory always stays behind.
A better future is not only about moving faster
And perhaps…
A better future is not about moving faster.
It is about knowing how to carry forward what is truly worth keeping.
What we need is not another place to store files
Perhaps… what we need
- Is not another place to store files.
- Is not another profile.
- Is not another link.
A place calm enough to connect
But rather a place calm enough to connect
the things that already belong to the same person.
A place where work is placed in context
A place…
where work is not only stored,
but placed in the right context.
So that years later, when we look back
So that years later, when we look back,
- we remember not only what we did,
- but why we began,
- and who we became along the way.
Every revolution begins with a new way of seeing
Perhaps…
Every revolution begins
not with technology, but with a new way of seeing.
